Parish Council

We are open for public services and liturgies, and will continue to broadcast the Mass online via Facebook. Stay up to date by visiting our homepage, our Facebook page or joining our email list.

At Saint Matthew Ecumenical Catholic Church, laity work with ordained clergy to help fulfill our mission.

Among the many opportunities for the laity to serve is the Parish Council.

The Parish Council is a decision-making body dedicated to fulfilling the mission of Saint Matthew and provides leadership, structure and responsibility for formation of ministries within the community to help develop Church life. Authority is irrevocably delegated to the Council from the Pastor for making and implementing decisions on (but not limited to):

  1. The physical needs of the Parish environment.
  2. The financial and budget needs of the Parish.
  3. Acquisitions and purchases for the Parish.
  4. Legal and financial responsibilities of the Parish
  5. Ministry Teams
  6. Outreach Ministries
  7. Employment of parish staff and other issues related to human resources
  8. Appointments of delegates to the ECC House of Laity

If you have any interest in joining the Saint Matthew Church Parish Council, please see any current Council member.
