August 29, 2020
Dear beloved members of Saint Matthew’s,
We hope all of you are doing well despite the pandemic and continue to pray for all of you while we wait for the day that we can all gather together again. We appreciate all of you that continue to celebrate Mass with us on Facebook, participate in our ministries and councils, and support our ministry. Please continue to “share” us with everyone you know.
We are hopeful that the Governor of California will soon allow churches to begin to gather again, but until such time, we must continue to follow the guidelines in order to remain compliant with the law, and also for the safety of everyone in our community.
So until such time as the law allows, and we feel it is safe to gather again, we are asking that everyone please remain at home and watch our live Facebook streamed Mass service. For the safety of all concerned, there can be NO EXCEPTIONS to this request. For those that are able and desiring, we also offer “drive-up” Communion between 10:30 am and 11:30 am, following the streamed 9:30 am Mass service.
We thank all of you for your understanding in this regard, and we look forward to seeing all of you soon, and celebrating our faith together. Please continue to pray for us as we continue to pray for all of you. God Bless you all.
In the love and peace of Christ,
Bishop Peter and Father Arturo
