Event Details

It’s a battle of the peanut butter spread preferences!

As we’ve done in the past during the season of Lent, please bring in the peanut butter spread of your choice–crunchy or creamy–and let the [all in good fun] battle begin!

As you may have seen during the Mass announcements last Sunday, two of our deacons have already brought in some peanut butter to donate, and we have a good chunk of BOTH crunchy and creamy. It seems to be a tie so far! We’ll see as we keep on tracking through Lent…

Peanut butter is one of the most requested food items for those in need. All the peanut butter we collect will be going to WSWA, which we have been supporting with our weekly food donations.

So to those attending Mass in person, we hope to see you there with your peanut butter of choice! Even those allergic to peanut butter are welcome to donate–perhaps take your pick based on the one that looks better to you 😉

Thank you everyone!

Amount of Peanut Butter Donated (by the ounce!)
[Sunday 3/7/2021 – CREAMY in the lead] Creamy: 697 oz. | Crunchy: 468 oz.
[Sunday 3/14/2021 – CREAMY in the lead] Creamy: 809 oz. | Crunchy: 660 oz.
[Sunday 3/21/2021 – CREAMY in the lead] Creamy: 909 oz. | Crunchy: 696 oz.
[Sunday 3/28/2021 – CREAMY in the lead] Creamy: 1089 oz. | Crunchy: 824 oz. + additional counts in progress (Deacon Tammy mentioned there were more CRUNCHY jars this week!)

And the winner is…
CREAMY! (AND CRUNCHY!)

To be fair, although Creamy came in with the most ounces, Crunchy came in with the most jars (and that definitely counts for something). We collected over 2,000 ounces of peanut butter! Thank you so much everyone for the lighthearted fun. Enjoy the snapshots below of two of our beloved Deacons modeling the peanut butter spreads of their choice, alongside our community’s generous contributions.
