Description

Things Hidden Book Link

Some of us grew up in religious settings where there was little attention to scripture and now we hardly know where to start. Our usual Bible Studies here at Saint Matthew have explored one book at a time. This time, we are doing something different, that hopefully can impart deeper awareness and a fresh approach both for the ‘newby’ and the ‘regulars’ who participate. We will explore the central themes across our Scripture. Fr. Richard Rohr will guide us in discovering in these ancient texts their overarching ideas, evoking new, and vital meanings. He uncovers what the Bible says about morality, power, wisdom and the generosity of God in a manner that demands a life-changing response from believers. Rohr offers his readers a Christian vision of abundance, grace, and joy to counteract a world filled with scarcity, judgment and fear a vision that can revolutionize how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world. Weekly handouts will be made available at the Facebook group, ‘Saint Matthew Bible Study.’

This is a six-week study. We recommend reading the book before we start. It is available in paperback and also on Kindle and audio if you prefer to listen rather than read.
